Quick stop in Welshpool on the way back to the midlands and we were STARVING! We found this little Gem of a chip shop. WOW! Incredible food. Fish / sausage/ kebab meat / chips 10/10! Enjoyed every second. Thanks so much Silver fish team you were also so friendly. We will be back on our next trip to wales! No photo I’m afraid it was gone in 5 seconds! I always enjoy my fish and chips from here. Lovely staff and lots of them - you never have to wait too long. The menu is extensive and you can dine in or takeaway. The prices are the best in town. The chips are not greasy they are fat and crisp with softer ones at the bottom! The portion sizes are generous. Totally yummy! Highly recommend. - no photos for this they never last long enough! I always have the cod - it’s bang on every time
Cracking fish & chips, we ate in and staff were welcoming and friendly. Ordered at counter then had table service. Big portions, lovely crispy batter and chips perfect, not pale, nice and golden. Not too greasy. Sausages are huge! We parked at Poundland. We will return and recommend.
Currently on holiday and fancied the chippy sourced this one and it did not disappoint. Friendly staff great food. Will be back on our next trip.
A lovely relaxed atmosphere and have never had a bad meal from here, very reasonably priced and recommend for sitting in or taking out. The inside is a bit dated, but cosy and welcoming.

Passing visit (and we're glad we chose Silverfish ) Cracking chippy Food was lovely, piping hot and plenty of it. (largest jumbo sausage I've ever had from a chippy! ) Staff were great and the service was prompt. Highly recommended!
We absolutely love this fish and chip shop, we always look for sit in ones and this is our favourite, lovely service and very kind people. Lovely food,good prices and a good menu. We travel over 30 miles to go here. We'll be back again soon.
